A symbolic annual cycle
How to Calculate Your Personal Year Number
A personal year number combines the birth day and month with a chosen reference year to frame themes of pace, attention, and development that may feel relevant during that year.
It is not an event calendar or a prediction. It offers a broad theme you can use to ask more deliberate questions about planning and reflection.
Personal-year calculation
- Add the digits of the birth day.
- Add the digits of the birth month.
- Include all four digits of the reference year.
- Reduce the total according to the personal-year rule and interpret the resulting cycle theme.
Reading the 1–9 cycle
The cycle moves through themes such as beginning, cooperation, expression, structure, change, responsibility, reflection, material organization, and completion. Real circumstances remain central in every year.
Using it for planning
Treat the theme as a checklist rather than an instruction: What do I want to begin, simplify, complete, or reconsider? The number does not make the decision for you.
How it differs from life path
Life path is a stable indicator from the complete birth date. Personal year changes with the reference year, so the two metrics address different time scales.
Not calendar fortune-telling
A personal year does not guarantee events or make a date lucky or dangerous. Health, investment, and relationship decisions should rely on real information and circumstances.
About the personal year
Does it change every year?
Yes. The reference year is part of the formula, so the indicator progresses through its cycle.
Is the birth year included?
No. Personal year uses the birth day and month plus the year being examined; other metrics use the birth year.
Reference date
The report fixes one canonical reference date for its cycle sections, and changing locale does not replace that date.
